Setting up integrations

Integrations connect YouniqMail with the tools around it: an email becomes a Trello card, a calendar invitation lands in your Nextcloud calendar, an important message pings the Slack channel. The idea is always the same: information leaves the mailbox for the place where the work happens.

All integrations live in the settings in the Integrations section and belong to the Pro feature set.

Integration Turns an email into Trigger Article
Trello a card in a list by hand and by rule Task lists
Asana a task by hand and by rule Task lists
Notion a page in a database by hand and by rule Task lists
CalDAV Calendar an appointment from the invitation on accepting and by rule Calendar
Webhooks a message to Slack, Discord, Teams or your own targets by rule Webhooks
Script Runner the call of a script of your own by rule no article
Conferencing a Teams meeting link while writing in the compose window Meetings

By hand: once Trello, Asana or Notion is turned on and connected, the More actions menu of every email offers the matching action, such as Send to Trello. A dialog shows the preset target, title and description, which you can still adjust before sending.

Automatically: the actions are also available to the automation, each rule with its own target or the default from the integration settings. A rule like “Subject contains order → Send to Trello” turns the mailbox into an intake that processes itself. Webhooks and the Script Runner work by rule only.

As much as needed, as little as possible: only what the respective action requires is transmitted, typically subject, sender, date and the content of the one email something is being made of. There is no standing sync of your mailbox with a third-party service; without your doing (or your rule), nothing flows. Details on data storage under Which data lives where?.

Trello, Asana, Notion and Conferencing can be disconnected on their settings page with Disconnect; the stored sign-in is removed from YouniqMail in the process. For Trello, Asana and Notion, YouniqMail also revokes access at the service; if that fails, for example without an internet connection, a notice tells you. For Conferencing, withdraw access in your Microsoft account settings if needed. Webhooks, CalDAV and the Script Runner are turned off, or their endpoints, accounts and scripts deleted.

What was already created in the target service (cards, tasks, pages, appointments) naturally remains there.
