Privacy and license terms
The binding legal documents live on the main site. This page tells you where, and sums up what the help explains about them.
The binding documents
Section titled “The binding documents”At youniqmail.com you find the privacy policy and the legal notice. The privacy policy is also reachable from inside the app, via the Help menu.
When purchasing a Pro license, a payment provider handles the order; its terms and privacy notes are shown during checkout.
Privacy in one paragraph
Section titled “Privacy in one paragraph”The essentials up front, in full under Which data lives where?: YouniqMail processes your mail locally on your device. There is no vendor server your mail passes through, no built-in analytics and no sharing of usage data. The app talks to your mail server, and beyond that only to the few places named in the privacy policy and the linked article, such as the update check and, for Pro licenses, the payment provider’s license server.
Open-source components
Section titled “Open-source components”YouniqMail builds on open-source software, Electron above all, and a host of further libraries. Their licenses require attribution; the complete list of components with license texts ships with the application.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Legal inquiries reach us via the contact details in the legal notice at youniqmail.com.
