What Pro costs
There are two paths to YouniqMail Pro. Both unlock the same feature set; they differ in how long you receive new versions with Pro and whether YouniqMail has to check the license online regularly.
During the beta, all Pro features are free for everyone anyway. The purchase buttons appear only with version 1.0.
One-time purchase with twelve months of updates
Section titled “One-time purchase with twelve months of updates”You pay once (Buy once (with 12 months of updates)) and receive all new versions for twelve months. Every version released within that window stays unlocked permanently afterwards, years later and without an internet connection.
After the twelve months you do not stop using Pro. You just no longer get newer versions unlocked. The last version from your window keeps running indefinitely. The Pro page shows until when updates are included under Updates included until.
An example: you buy in March 2026. Every version up to March 2027 stays Pro for you permanently. If a new version appears in June 2027, YouniqMail warns you before installing it: you can install it anyway, and its Pro features then pause, or stay with your version. Such an update is never installed silently in the background.
If you want new versions with Pro again, there is a discounted renewal (Renew license (discounted)).

Subscription
Section titled “Subscription”You pay monthly or yearly (Subscribe monthly, Subscribe yearly) and always get the latest version with all Pro features. When the subscription ends, the Pro features lapse at the next license check.
YouniqMail has to check a subscription online now and then. If that fails for more than two days, the Pro page shows a notice; after 14 days without a successful check, Pro pauses.

What both share

- No YouniqMail account required
- License data never lives in your mail database, and the settings export stays free of it
Try before you buy
Section titled “Try before you buy”There is a one-time seven-day trial with the full Pro feature set. It requires neither an account nor payment details.

What happens when Pro ends?
Section titled “What happens when Pro ends?”Nothing is deleted. That is the most important point.
- Everything you created stays. Even if you have more snippets, templates, smart folders, saved searches or rules than the free plan allows. New ones are added only once there is room again.
- Rules with Pro components are paused, not removed. They resume unchanged after reactivation.
- Pro features pause. Integrations stop, statistics and the analytical dashboard tiles are locked, mail can no longer be signed or encrypted with S/MIME.
- Encrypted email stays readable. S/MIME messages included.
- Existing follow-ups keep running. Only creating new ones is reserved for Pro.

Switching devices
Section titled “Switching devices”One license covers two devices at a time. If you need a slot for a new device, release an old one under Settings → Pro / License with Deactivate this device.
